Established and recognised.

Our goal is to establish a recognised research centre that actively conducts research with a focus on technology transfer. We want to strengthen science and the economy on site in Rostock and in MV and bind competence but also value creation in the region in the long term. As a young research institute for energy technology and renewable energies, we combine a start-up mentality with decades of experience. We see ourselves as a coordinating body for research, development and innovation. More than 25 years of experience in the field of renewable energies, especially onshore and offshore wind energy technology, and almost 10 years of experience in the hydrogen sector make us a specialist in this field.

Our institute is set up as a non-profit limited company: all results from research, development and innovation are made available to the public. In January 2021, we therefore received the status of an official affiliated institute from the University of Rostock.
