Currently, the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research has decided to support the Institute in preparing proposals, to form a consortium and become a coordinator for a Horizon Europe Call. Horizon Europe is one of the largest funding programmes for research and innovation worldwide, with the central goal of promoting excellence in European science. The plan is to submit a proposal for the call HORIZON-CL5-2023-D5-01-14 by 20.04.2023. The content of the application deals with the supply of green energy to ships on roadstead. In December, just before Christmas, the kick-off meeting for the new FLOHSY project took place. FLOHSY is the acronym for Floating Offshore Hydrogen Supply Barge. The first joint exchange with potential partners, colleagues and consultants from the industry was very dynamic, informative and interesting. An international consortium is currently being formed. Partners from the fields of storage, power generator units and filling systems (offshore and onshore) are very welcome.
