On the peninsula of Pütnitz, a district of the town of Ribnitz-Damgarten, a unique holiday park is planned which will focus on intensive nature experiences. The partners involved (Center Parcs, Supreme, Technikmuseum, Bernsteinreiter) are committed to designing their activities in the spirit of sustainability. The Amber Resort in Pütnitz has dedicated itself to take care of the existing landscape, to preserve and develop it. High-quality open spaces will preserve plenty of room for natural habitats for plants and animals. The buildings to be constructed will interpret local architecture in a modern way and blend harmoniously into the character of the Bodden landscape. The former military airport Pütnitz is to be turned into a nature-oriented and individual holiday park. A sustainable concept is the centre of all planning. Our institute has been commissioned to prepare a feasibility study for the construction of an ecologically sustainable, external supply infrastructure as well as the water-side transport access to the Pütnitz peninsula for this future-oriented tourism project. A clear ecological orientation of the energy supply with an efficient and sustainable energy concept is the focus of the study. The Institute is conducting a scenario-based potential analysis of an energy system for the outer development with a focus on sector coupling and is preparing an implementation concept for an energy system on the Pütnitz Peninsula with special consideration of maritime mobility. In addition, we are developing a research-development-innovation strategy for further project development as well as support during implementation.
